Video Translation Setup
Learn how to upload and translate your video files with step-by-step instructions. Generate subtitles and multilingual versions quickly and easily.
Video Translation allows you to turn any video into a multilingual version in minutes. Simply upload your video, generate subtitles automatically, translate them into 120+ languages, and download both the text and burned-in video versions. Ideal for training materials, marketing content, or accessibility projects.
What You Need
- A user account with access to Video Translation features
- A stable internet connection
- Your video file in a supported format (e.g., MP4, MOV, AVI)
- Optional: Custom glossary for consistent terminology
Setup Steps
1. Create a Video Project
Click Create at the top-right corner of your homepage and select Video.
Upload your video file, select the video’s original language, and fill in your project details.
2. Translate
Once your video is uploaded, its transcript will appear beside the video preview.
Click Translate, then select one or more target languages from the list.
3. Download Your Video
After translation, you can:
- Download the translated transcript.
- Burn the subtitles directly into your video.
- Download the final video with on-screen translated captions.
Customisation Options
- Glossary Integration: Apply your organisation’s glossary to ensure key terms are translated consistently.
- Multi-language Export: Generate and export multiple subtitle languages in one project.
- Format Selection: Choose between subtitle files (e.g.,
.srt,.vtt) or burned-in versions.
Troubleshooting
- Ensure your video file is under the upload size limit.
- Check that your internet connection is stable during upload and download.
- If subtitles don’t appear, refresh the project or reprocess the file.
